![]() Master's in regional development from the Université du Québec en Outaouais (2013).Since becoming mayor, he has focused on a series of investments to modernize the bicycle paths and the municipal library network, as well as on implementing a vision of land use planning to improve the quality of life in neighbourhoods and make our communities more sustainable. In 2017, he was re-elected to that position, at which time he also took over as chair of the Caucus des maires des grandes villes de l'Union des municipalités du Québec, a strategic role aimed at influencing the relationship between municipalities and the Government of Quebec. ![]() He spent years working with his community before being elected Municipal Councillor for Buckingham in 2009, and later Mayor of Gatineau on November 3, 2013. Maxime Pedneaud-Jobin was born in Buckingham, and went on to earn a master's degree in regional development from the Université du Québec en Outaouais, where he studied the historical evolution of the relationship between the Outaouais and Ottawa.
